Gloria forotan, phd
PRACTICUM TRAINEE
Dr. Forotan works under the supervision of Dr. Maria Hernandez (PSY36513), providing psychotherapy and psychological testing to clients of all ages. She earned a Ph.D. in General Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology and holds master’s degrees in psychology, and Business Administration (MBA)She is currently pursuing a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School.
With over 8 years of experience in social services and behavioral health, Dr. Forotan currently serves as a Child Protective Services Social Worker, working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and suicidal ideation. She utilizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches to provide compassionate, individualized, and culturally responsive care.
Dr. Forotan is passionate about supporting individuals and families throughout their mental health journey. She believes in creating a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to achieve meaningful change. As a Farsi-speaking provider, she is proud to provide culturally sensitive care to Farsi-speaking individuals. Her goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients feel supported as they navigate their unique paths toward growth, healing, and emotional well-being.
